Embed & Deploy
Embed & Deploy lets you create and manage Web channel configurations and add your AI to your website through an embedded chat widget.
You can connect a configuration to either a Knowledge Base or a Workflow, set the allowed website domain, deploy when ready, and use the generated embed code on your site. Select a Widget Design from the separate Widget Design section to control how the chatbot appears.
Web supports Draft and Deployed versions. Before creating a Web channel, make sure you have either a Knowledge Base or Workflow available, and create a Widget Design for the chatbot appearance.
Before you begin
Before creating a Web channel, make sure you have:
- A Knowledge Base or Workflow to power the chatbot.
- A Widget Design for the appearance of your chatbot.
- The website domain where you want to use the chatbot.

- Select Web.
- Open Embed & Deploy.
- Click Connect.
- Enter a name for the Web configuration.
- Select the source for your chatbot:

Configure Your Web Channel
When creating a Web channel, configure the settings that determine what powers your chatbot and where it can be used.
Add a Name
Enter a name for the Web configuration.
Choose a name that makes it easy to identify where or how the chatbot is being used.
Select a Source
Choose what should power the chatbot on your website.
You can select either:
- Knowledge Base — use information from your selected Knowledge Base to answer customer questions.
- Workflow — use a Workflow to control the chatbot’s conversation behavior.
Select a Widget Design
Select the Widget Design that controls the appearance of your chatbot on the website.
If you do not have a suitable design, create one from Channels → Web → Widget Design before creating the Web channel.
Add an Allowed Domain
Enter the domain where the chatbot will be used.
The allowed domain helps define which website can use the Web configuration.
Deploy Your Web Channel
Web channels use Draft and Deployed states.
Draft
A Draft is the working version of your Web configuration.
Use the Draft state while setting up or making changes to your Web channel.
Deployed
A Deployed Web channel is the version that is available for use on your website.
After your configuration is ready, deploy it so the chatbot can be used on the configured website.
Get the Embed Code
After creating a Web channel, you can view its embed code from the Web configuration.
To get the embed code:
- Open Channels → Web.
- Open Embed & Deploy.
- Find the Web configuration.
- Select View.
- Copy the provided embed code.
Add the embed code to your website where you want the chatbot to appear.
Manage Web Channels
After creating a Web channel, it appears in the Embed & Deploy section.
From the Web configuration, you can view the available deployment information and manage the channel.
View Embed Code
Use View to open the embed code for a Web configuration.
Copy the code and add it to your website to make the chatbot available to visitors.
Delete a Web Channel
To remove a Web channel:
- Open Channels → Web.
- Open Embed & Deploy.
- Find the Web configuration.
- Open its actions menu.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Warning: Deleting a Web channel can stop the chatbot from working on websites where its embed code is being used.
Add Multiple Web Channels
Web supports multiple configurations, allowing you to create more than one Web channel within your organization.
Each Web configuration can use its own:
- Name
- Knowledge Base or Workflow
- Widget Design
- Allowed Domain
To create another Web channel, use Connect again from the Embed & Deploy section.
How Web Works
When a visitor opens your website and interacts with the embedded chatbot, the Web channel connects the visitor’s conversation to the selected Knowledge Base or Workflow.
The basic flow is:
Website Visitor → Web Chat Widget → Knowledge Base or Workflow → AI Response
The selected source determines how the chatbot handles the conversation.
