Knowledge Base Management

This section explains how to switch between existing Knowledge Bases and create a new one using the sidebar dropdown and creation modal.

Create Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base Dropdown

The sidebar contains a Knowledge Base selector, which allows users to:

  • View all available Knowledge Bases in a dropdown list
  • Identify the currently active Knowledge Base with a check mark
  • Switch to another Knowledge Base by clicking on its name
  • Create a new Knowledge Base using the Create Knowledge Base button at the bottom

The selected Knowledge Base determines which data, categories, and settings are shown throughout the platform.

Create Knowledge Base Modal

Clicking the Create Knowledge Base button opens a modal where you can set up a new, AI-powered knowledge base.

Sections in the Modal

General Settings

  • Title Field: Add a name to identify your Knowledge Base (e.g., “History Notes”)
  • Description Field: Provide a short description or purpose for the KB

Model Settings

  • Model: Choose the AI model to power your KB responses. Available options:

    1. Pro – Fast, reliable, and best for everyday use (recommended)
    2. Legacy – Previous generation model for compatibility
    3. Thinker – Lightweight model ideal for quick drafts or budget constraints
  • Temperature Slider: Controls creativity and variability in responses.
Lower values = more factual answers
Higher values = more creative or flexible responses

Prompt Settings

  • Prompt Name: Name the prompt you want your model to use.
  • Prompt Content: Define the custom prompt or instruction that guides how your model responds.

Final Step

Once all fields are filled:

  • Click Create to generate the new Knowledge Base.
  • The newly created KB will appear in the dropdown and be set as the active one automatically.

Best Practices

  • Use clear and descriptive names for each Knowledge Base.
  • Choose the Pro model unless you have specific needs for the others.
  • Keep prompts concise but purposeful for better AI guidance.
  • Adjust the temperature only if you need more or less creative output.
